Directions
Kanawahala Program Center (KPC) is located at 1745 Girl Scout Road in Chelsea. Morning and afternoon carpool takes place in the Conference Center parking lot.
Program Activities
Come explore the great outdoors during a fun-filled week of swimming, hiking, fishing, archery, boating and crafts. We will learn Girl Scout songs and traditions, hear from guest speakers and earn badges. The week will culminate in an all-camp program in which each unit shares a new song, skill, or skit with their Girl Scout friends.

Items to bring daily:
All articles should be marked with camper's name. Make sure camper can carry her own supplies.- Lunch
- Water bottle (for camper to carry at all times)
- Swimsuit (no bikinis, unless a t-shirt is also worn)
- Change of undergarments
- Towel
- Comb or brush
- Plastic bag for wet items
- Water shoes (used only for canoe and pool times)
- Bug repellent (no aerosol cans - apply once daily prior to coming to camp)
- Sunscreen (apply once daily prior to coming to camp)
- Rain poncho (no umbrella)
- Hat or bandana
- Backpack to carry all items and labeled with camper's name
What to Wear
Modest, comfortable clothes:
- Shirts with sleeves
- Shorts of appropriate length
- Shoes with closed-toe and closed-heel
- Hat or bandana - required for the protection of each camper
Transportation
Each camper is responsible for her own transportation. Car pools are encouraged. Prompt arrivals and departures are expected. Please remain in your car at all times. Please pay attention to the Program Aides who are directing traffic and follow their directions. Please pick up campers no later than 3:45 p.m. daily.
Health & Safety
Rocky Mountain Day Camp strictly adheres to the usual high safety standards of all Girl Scout camps. A qualified health care manager will be in camp at all times and there will be a doctor on call. All activity instructors are appropriately certified. A certified lifeguard supervises all swimming activities. A certified archery instructor supervises all archery activities.
